Pinoy Names

I've been thinking (which for me is not that really difficult to do).  To all the Pinoys out there, if given a chance what "Pinoy Name" would you want to have?

I'm a big fan of Kidlat Tahimik's name...
so I'm going with Agos Payapa ...

not Papaya the fruit... my goodness read it properly its... PA-YA-PA.  Which means Flow Peacefully. Kinda have a nice ring to it.

Anybody there has some ideas on what "Pinoy" sounding name they would like to have.

Pacman Wins!

Manny Pacquaio won his fight against Puerto Rican Cotto, I am no sports analyst nor a sports enthusiast but seeing my countrymen bringing honor to our country gives me pride and hope that like Pacquiao we could all be great(with determination of course).

Though seeing Pacman fight, I  can not help but think about my grandfather.  My grandfather is no boxer but he is a great boxing fan.  I was imagining what if "Lolo" was still here, and seeing a filipino boxer getting these accolades.  That would have been great, hearing his hurrays and loud claps, and it would have been fun seeing him shadow box, imagining that he is helping Manny in his fight.  "Lolo" would have been elated, especially now that Manny Pacquaio is already part of the Pantheon of those he considered Legends in boxing.  He would have liked it that Pacman is now in equal footing with his favorite Sugar Ray Leonard.

Again, I'm no sports fan but I think there's a little part of "Lolo" in me when it comes to boxing.

Congratulations Manny! You're truly the pride of the Pinoys!

Pacquiao vs. Cotto

I'm looking forward for Manny Pacquiao's fight tomorrow.  Here is hoping that he wins.  I think he has a good chance, and if he wins he will cement his name in history, not that he has not done it yet.  Go Pacman!

“Philippine Business Stimulus Package,” a program by Google and local partners STI, GoNegosyo, and the Philippine Marketing Association aimed at helping Filipino businesses put up and build an online presence.

Not really understanding what this is but it sounds good for local Philippine business to have their presence in the internet.  Being able to compete with the global market.

I read somewhere if you're a local business and you don't have any website up yet, STI is offering to create one for free (but only for the first 200 to sign-up).

Still no luck with YouSayToo

I still don't have any luck with YouSayToo.com.  Has anyone out there already made an earning with YouSayToo?  Could you tell me how the process go?

Though I still like the site as it allows me to reach a bigger audience but I just don't see how I could make some money out of their site.  There's no clear instructions on the process.  Hopefully someone could answer my query.  Thanks.

I can not access Facebook at work... boo hoo!  It seems like the management wants to stop their workers from wasting their paid time scourging the social network site.  So, goodbye to Restaurant City for awhile, you will be missed.  Funny thing is friendster is still up and running.  Which drives us into one conclusion Friendster is not bad for work only Facebook.

I'm out of ideas, could someone help me?

This is always the case when I try to sit down in front of my computer and hoping to write something in my blog, my brain just automatically blanks out. That was not happening to me yesterday when I was commuting home, then the ideas rush through me like waterfalls, but at this moment it seems like I can't remember any of it.

I'm wishing for a machine that automatically records my thoughts so that I could not lose any of those great ideas. Darn! Well, hopefully they come back to me again.

Loud explosion outside my room

I just heard a loud explosion outside my office.  I carefully opened the  door out of my room(who know's there might be some terrorist activities), then peeked outside.  Nothing's wrong on the corridors, then I see other people going out of their rooms as well trying to investigate what just happened.  We are on the third floor so we glanced at what is happening below.  On the street adjacent to our building we saw a red car, which blew up it's batteries.  There is still fire brewing on the batteries when I looked down, I see the people in the car running outside for safety.  The driver of the car then get a bottled water to extinguish the fire.  So that's that!

I'm no mechanic so I don't know the reason behind the battery bursting into flames.  Of course heat would be involve.  Now, I'm back in my room, waiting for the next mundane event to happen.

Brain Drain

Why is it when I don't have an access to my laptop or just even a pen and a paper I always get great ideas?  The moment I'm in front of these things poof everything's gone.   Funny that these things happen to me everytime.  I feel somebody out there has this sucking machine, that taps into my brain and gets all my smart ideas.  Darn you!  I should have copyrighted it when it is still in my gray matter.

The Question I want to ask those who are running for the position of Philippine President

It is election season again in the Philippines, and I have seen an ad by GMA network about what to ask the "Presidentiables".  If I am given the chance to ask these people one question, this is what I'll ask - If you are to elect somebody this coming election aside from yourself who will you elect?

My wife's cooking dinner and it smells good.

I'm blogging and I can't concentrate, because my wife's preparing something good in the kitchen.  Sorry you can not have any.  I blame my wife's great cooking for me not being able to lose weight.  I love eating, if there's one vice I had that is eating.  I can not stop and I do not know if I want to stop.

It's my wife's birthday.  I just want the world to know AGAIN(and I won't tire of repeating it), how much I love you and how happy I am that you are a part of my life.  We've been through a lot already and I know we will face a lot more things in the future but you'll know that I'll always be here for you.

Dogs on rooftops

I was able to have  a nice walk with my wife and Pipay this afternoon around our neighborhood.  It was nice to have a relaxing stroll around the block, see the new things around and breathe in fresh air.  These are the times that I just appreciate life.

One funny thing we saw are these two dogs on one of the rooftops.  I was surprise the first time I saw them there.  It was just unexpected to see those  two labrador retrievers in that scenario.  Though I find it smart having  them there at least they have a bigger area to roam around  unlike the other dogs in the neighborhood that are living in small cages.  They are also effective guard dogs being able to see everything around.  What I felt the smartest move is that the dogs' droppings will naturally be cleaned by rainwater, and goes directly to those roof gutters.  Really smart because I for one doesn't like cleaning dog feces.

You know that I will copy this idea the time I have my own house. :)  I'll try to take a picture next time we stroll on that area of the neighborhood

2 thoughts that bothered me when I was 9 years old.

When I was 9 years old I just heard about the big bang theory, that the universe started from a "Big Bang" then it just continued to expand from there, then when it comes to the point where it can expand anymore it will begin to collapse into what scientists will call the "Big Crunch", though that is not what bothers me and that is a story for another time.

What keeps me late up night thinking is this- if the universe is expanding, it means that it grows, so there must be an endpoint.  What if there is a spaceship that can allow us to travel into the edge of the universe, what then can we see beyond it?

The other thought that bothers me is this: if the universe started with the Big Bang, what was there before that?

Try to think about it.

Is there really an end to space?  Is there really a beginning in time?

PBB Double Up Late

False alarm.  I still can't sleep it's already 2:00 a.m.

I got me a calamansi juice for my sore throat.  It lessens the pain but does not totally remove it.

Back to PBB:
Seems like some housemates are still awake.  I'm not sure if this show is daily.  I can't imagine a lot of people watching this but then again there's a lot of nightowls out there.  The show has a live feed from both houses of "Kuya"

I can't imagine myself living in that house, it just feels weird people observing you, like a fish on a fishbowl.

Watching Trip na Trip at 1:20 in the morning

I found myself not being able to sleep again.  I got me a bad case of colds and tonsilitis, darn all these sickness.  I really hope I feel better in the morning.  Though right now I'm trying to find a way to sleep.

I turned on the TV, it's already pass 1 a.m., there's no more shows in the other channels(I only get local channels 4 the max, the other 2 has already signed out and it's a choice between ABS-CBN or GMA).  I opted for ABS-CBN, the show is Trip na Trip.  I'm watching Kat de Castro and Uma as they travel from Disneyland to "Sin City" Las Vegas.

I for one really wants to travel, but without any means because of this hardluck economy, there is just no way right now.  I just envy people who has that option, just to leave things and travel, I hope to do that with my wife someday.

My head's starting to feel really heavy because I'm getting sleepy.  So I'll try to sleep now.  Good night!

My blog's color scheme

If you've noticed my site's color scheme it is basically the Philippine Flag's color scheme. But what you might not know is that the colors are the actual official colors of the flag. What?! there's an official color? You're thinking blue is blue, red is red, yellow is yellow and white is white. What official color are you talking about?

Well, there's different shades of blue, red and yellow though white is really white(any minor change doesn't make it white anymore). Did you know that the actual Philippine Flag's color is specified in Republic Act 8491. Which if translated into internet color makes the Phlippine Flag's Blue as  #0038A8, Red #CE1126, Yellow #FCD116, and of course White as #FFFFFF.

I am still on Dial-Up! I need help!

The world around me has move to bigger and better things but me I'm still stuck in dial-up.  Information is moving in breakneck speed while snails and slugs can outpace my internet connection.  Darn this is so slow, I could sleep and wake up, but the page I'm loading is not even halfway through.

So you ask, why don't I move to faster internet connection?  Well if its available in our area why not?  But any reasonable connection is still not available, and I don't want to buy those USB wifi thingies, I don't trust those things.

God I need a faster connection.  I'm an impatient person and with this connection, I'm going to go crazy.

I guess patience is a virtue, the other page I'm waiting to load just finish loading. So adios amigos, hoping that next time we meet is in a faster bandwith.

Lovers in Paris Pinoy Version

My wife changed the channel, she shifted from Supernatural to Lovers in Paris (Pinoy Version).  I'm not really fond of these telenovelas but I just gotta endure them, I'm overpowered from the remote.

That's why I am just blogging just to past the time.  I just started this Blog, I'm feeling a bit nationalistic that's why the color scheme.  I don't have anything important to say yet.  I just want some place to air out my personal thoughts.

My plan really is to earn from this blogs I'm writing but I'm not yet sure how that can be.  I've been reading a lot about SEO's but that seems a bit difficult concept to grasp right now.  Though I'm planning to get there, because I am really convince in making my fortune online.

Hmmm my head is just all over the place right now, I might be a little sleepy.  So, I'll end this before I embarass myself more.

I'm watching first season of Supernatural

It's a long vacation, nice time to relax. I bought a dvd of the first season of Supernatural, so we'll be having a marathon. We've watch a few episodes already. The series is spooky but quite fun. I'm enjoying it really, coming from someone who is scared easily this is actually quite great.

We Pinoy's had a similar series namely Pedro Penduko. It's nice delving into these myths and legends, it sorts of a reflection of the psyche of a culture.

So I'll continue watching this one, I'll just hold my wife's hand if the scary part is coming.
